Mindfulness is more than sitting meditation.  It is paying attention to what is happening now, as you go through your life.  Lama Yeshe led participants through an  exploration of many different mindfulness techniques including sitting meditation, mindful walking, mindful eating, being mindful of sound, mindfulness of an object as well as objectless mindfulness.  When our mind settles down we see more clearly just as muddy water clarifies if it is no longer agitated.  A clear mind is also a peaceful mind.  Practicing mindfulness allows the mind to settle naturally by reducing agitation.
