Twin Cities KTC AND Hay river KTC Buddhist Meditation Centers

Lama Yeshe

APRIL 19  CAREGIVER CONFERENCE IN ASHLAND, WI

Lama Yeshe gave a talk on Developing Compassion: Starting with Oneself.  He presented some good advice and experiential exercises for generating compassion for all beings, starting with oneself.  Tonglen practice is a great way to develop compassion.  It uses the breath as a vehicle for the wish that all beings have happiness and are free from suffering.  This was a one day event held at WITC in Ashland, WI to a very enthusiastic crowd of caregivers, family and caring individuals that work in health care.  Lama Yeshe combined his Buddhist training as well as personal experience with his mother, who had dementia before her death.

Lama Yeshe is the resident teacher at Hay River KTC Buddhist Meditation Center near Ridgeland, WI.  He is a fully ordained monk in the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.  For a list of activities see www.ktcHayRiver.org.
