The Buddha taught that there are four endings: all meetings end in parting, all births end in death, all gain ends in loss and all rising ends in a fall. With this knowledge comes the understanding that now is the time to prepare for these unavoidable events. This program explored mindfulness, loving-kindness, and wisdom as ways of preparing for grief, loss and separation and gaining wisdom and comfort after experiencing any of these endings. We don’t need to feel helpless as there is much that can be done. Lama Yeshe was the presenter for this residential retreat at the Christine Center in Willard, WI.
