MAY 29-JUNE 3  VISITING TEACHER KHENPO TENKYONG Came TO WISCONSIN, TEACHing IN both WASHBURN AND RIDGELAND

Khenpo Karma Tenkyong taught Himalayan yoga and meditation at two different sites in Wisconsin May 29 through June 3, 2019. Khenpo Tenkyong is a dynamic teacher who meets students where they are in order to build a strong foundation for meditation practice. He is known for his command of English, and compassionate, joyful approach to students of all physical abilities and traditions.

“Khenpo-la is a vibrant Lama with a deep compassion for the earth. He frequently takes the Dharma outside for a breath of fresh air, while at the same time he explores the inner dimensions of calm abiding.  He is playful and sincere all at once.  His combination of being learned and curious makes him a teacher/learner extraordinaire,” said by a center member and attendee of a similar program at KTD monastery.

Khenpo began with each teaching and practice retreat with a talk entitled, Meditation for a Healthy Mind and Body. The foundation for cultivating a peaceful mind through meditation is a flexible body!  We had many days filled with fun as we learned the arts of Meditation and Himalayan Yoga.
