Saturday Feb. 22 – Sunday March 1: 4-NYUNGNE RETREAT

Nyungne is a very powerful purification practice. Doing even one is beneficial.

Lama Yeshe hosted and led a 4-Nyungne retreat at Hay River from 2/22 to 3/1. The dates were carefully chosen so that the first nyungne ended on Losar and the second one began on Losar. We also held our center’s very first Nyine (single-day retreat) on that day. It is excellent to practice on that day – the first day of the Tibetan New Year. The benefits are multiplied by 100,000, and when practiced in a group, everyone accumulates the merit everyone creates. So if five people do one Nyungne with you, you accumulate the merit of doing five Nyungne. The merit just has to be dedicated.

That is excellent because we had six practitioners for the first nyungne, and a 7th for the nyine! Participants came from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Ohio.
