Members and friends of the Hay River KTC and Minneapolis KTC are doing the Medicine Buddha group practice with Lama Yeshe online regularly, twice each month. (See our website calendar for specific dates and times.)
If you would like to participate but do not have a text, here is a link to download the text. The text is called ‘A Stream of Lapis Lazuli.’ It is also available for purchase in pecha form at the KTD bookstore.
The khenpos at KTD have added the Names of the Medicine Buddhas who are in the retinue of the main Medicine Buddha. We are now doing that too. At this link you can download the names of the seven auxiliary Medicine Buddhas. We chant these names three times just before we do the mantra repetition.
Lama Yeshe has also given us teachings on the Medicine Buddha, separately from leading us in the pujas (group practice sessions). These teachings have been recorded and posted on his YouTube channel (feel free to subscribe or you can select specific links, below). The pujas are not recorded.
Medicine Buddha Teachings, part 1
Medicine Buddha Teachings, part 2

Medicine Buddha Teachings, part 4
Medicine Buddha Teachings, part 5
The source book that our lama is using for his teachings is Medicine Buddha Teachings by Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche. Note: this book contains the main practice text and also has descriptions of the mudras, or hand gestures, that we will use during the pujas.
May all beings benefit!
The Hay River KTC Buddhist Meditation Center is located near Ridgeland, Wisconsin. The center is dedicated to the teachings and practices of the authentic Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Lama Yeshe, a fully ordained monk in this tradition is the resident teacher. See our website at www.ktchayriver.org.
