Welcoming the New Year
The past is gone. The future has not arrived yet. We are here in the present on New Year’s Eve – a time to let go of anything negative we hold onto from the past year. When we awake tomorrow, the coming year will not only be here but will be different with new opportunities to deepen our practice.
We also celebrate the Tibetan New Year on February 10th. This will be another opportunity to increase our motivation, relieve all suffering, and let go of negative habits and thinking while we make heartfelt, beautiful aspirations for the future. Lama Yeshe’s teaching explores letting go and motivation at this time of year.
